update :o)

Well it's been forever since i posted anything, apparently I'm awful at keeping up with a blog :o/
So i just thought i'd do a little (or maybe it wont end up being so "little") post to sorta tell what i've been up to these past 2 weeks. I'm dead tired and under the influence of cold medicine so please forgive any typos ;o)
So let's see..
My last post was kinda depressing and it made me realize that i really need to start getting out more often and meet more people around here. So the day after, Candice (whom i'd already met & is a pretty awesome chick) & I met for lunch and went for a bit of shopping at the mall, that was fun. The day after, we walked to the park with the kiddos so they could play :o) And the night after that, we went out to dinner with Jay's buddy Walsh, his family & Sgt Craig, that was fun too. So I'd say I'm off to a great start.
That next weekend, we finally got one of Jay's bonus installments. So we spent that whole weekend shopping for whatever we needed for the house and the next week i spent it all decorating the house and making it more home-like. I'm so excited about this! We've been here at Ft. Gordon for almost 3 months and this whole time this house hasn't felt like home, so I'm stoked to finally start working on that :o) And the house is looking pretty awesome, if i do say so myself! Just a couple more things needed and it should be all done!! I'll most definitely be posting pictures of it after that.. finally.
The following weekend my mom & grandma came to visit, that was SO incredibly needed! I had missed them so much, especially my grandma and so had Faith, she was soooo excited to have them come over! We went out to dinner the night they got here & just FYI- Outback is offering free blooming onions to all military personnel this month, just gotta show ID.. yum!
The next day we spend it shopping around and just hanging out, catching up. And on Sunday we decided to take a drive out to South Carolina and spent the day at the zoo. The Riverbanks Zoo & Garden is AWESOME, we had such a great day. Faith got to feed giraffes (my favorite animal!!!), goats & lorikeets (one stupid bird pooped on me.. always happens :o/). And she got to ride a pony (she looked so cute) and a carousel, twice. Pictures of our super fun day are on my facebook.. go have a looksie here- ZOO DAY :o) (clickable link). Like i said, it's an awesome zoo, Faith had a blast. So Jay and I are thinking of getting passes with unlimited rides & attractions so we can go more often.. yayyyyy!!
The ONLY bad thing about that weekend is that my dumb butt went & got sick.. of course. I was just sick two weeks ago but my body apparently does not care because here i am.. sick & miserable AGAIN :o(
I think that's pretty much it for right now. I'm really gonna try and get on here & post more often.. i really do like it :o)
